METRO-DETROIT MEN'S THERAPY PRESENTS
SPRING MEN'S GROUP
February 24 - April 14, 2025
Evan Creek Lodge, Southfield, MI
HOW IT WORKS
EIGHT GROUPÂ SESSIONS
Each night tackles a unique theme with practice and action.
SUPPORTIVE ENVIROMENT
Partner and group work to allow for shared experiences of growth, new understanding, and deeper connection to yourself and others.
ALUMNI COMMUNITY
Upon completion of group, continue working on yourself with other alumni in the free community.
EVERY MAN DESERVES TO BE SEEN
In a world where men are often left to navigate challenges alone, this group is your space to connect, grow, and take action. You’ll uncover what’s missing in everyday life—true connection, hard conversations, and the support of like-minded men.
WHAT YOU'LL EXPERIENCE
THEMES DESIGNED TO EMPOWER
EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE WORK
Learning to identify, feel into, and express emotions that we usually avoid.
"PARTS"
WORK
Learning and working with our "parts" or subpersonalities that protect us but sometimes also get in the way (e.g., inner critic, wounded child).
NERVOUS
WORK
Learning to map and regulate our nervous system and get unstuck from places that give us trouble, like shutting down or getting overly angry.
MEDITATION
How to start living and practicing mindfulness, breath-work, and the space to just be.
"NICE GUY"
WORK
The nice isn't really nice. We have a whole generation of men who feel that they need to hide parts of themselves while also being conflict avoidant and acting "needless" Learn to identify your needs and be a kind man instead.
CEREMONY AND GROUP WORK
Learning to be seen and supported by other men through breakout work and coming together as a council to receive feedback to help guide our lives.
NATURE
WORK
Intro into how we can use nature as our co-therapist to help inform decisions in our lives and learn to listen more deeply to ourselves.
ALUMNI
COMMUNITY
Each member is invited to join our free alumni community upon completion of the group in which they can continue with like-minded men who have also been through a group or retreat. Each alumni member gets a lifetime discount on any future event.Â
Your Group Leader:
Mike Lamerato MS, LPC
Mike is the owner and primary therapist at Metro-Detroit Men's Therapy and has worked exclusively with men for the last five years and has been in the mental health space for over ten. Over this time, he saw a need for a place for men to engage in deeper work and noticed there wasn't a lot offered locally. Believing that men can do great work together and heal, Mike has made it his mission to design and bring to life individual therapy, groups, and retreats that are tailored to the needs of men. TRANSFORMATIONS FROM MEN LIKE YOU
Nick M.
"I attended Mike’s 2023 fall cohort men’s group the past 2 months, and I am beyond grateful for all of it. This was my first ever men’s group experience, and I can’t wait for the next one! Mike is an incredibly supportive guy who truly wants what is best for us men moving through this crazy world. I had a wonderful experience throughout group and had the opportunity to work through parts of myself, and now have some tools to continue using! Thank you Mike, and thanks to all the men who attended!"

"Our group container was a perfect space to decompress, gain valuable perspectives on the male experience, reach some meaningful personal insights and learn an array of emotional management/ communication skills. This space and these types of connections would benefit every man, not just those seeking therapy for acute reasons."
