WHY THIS WORKSHOP MATTERS

Men often find it difficult to get away and spend some time on themselves. We hold the weight of working, providing, scheduling, and showing up for families, yet sometimes we fail to make time for ourselves.

Patterns start to emerge as we check out a bit: drifting from our relationships and submerging ourselves in cheap coping to help us get by. It’s not surprising that a lot of men just don’t feel themselves, become isolated, and just aren’t sure where to turn.

If this feels familiar, Mike and Mark would love to invite you to a day workshop aimed at one motive, to help give men a day to get support and insight into some of their struggles and to come out a little more balanced and connected at the end of the day.

It’s a local, full day of everything for men's mental health.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

Workshop Leaders

Workshop Leader:

Mark Strubler MA, LPC of Regenerative Health Partners

Mark is a mental health counselor who helps men navigate life’s challenges with compassion and courage. His path wasn’t a straight one—he first pursued music, then a career in process improvement and leadership, but something was missing. He realized his real passion was understanding people’s stories and walking alongside them to learn who they are at their core. That led him to counseling, where he now specializes in men's experience of trauma and addiction.

Outside of work, Mark is a husband and dad who enjoys practicing martial arts, hitting the trails, training for Spartan races, and having good conversations over coffee. Learn more here

Workshop Leader:

Mike Lamerato MS, LPC

Mike is the founder and primary therapist at Metro-Detroit Men's Therapy and has worked exclusively with men for the last five years and has been in the mental health space for the a over ten. Over this time, he saw a need for a place for men to engage in deeper work and noticed there wasn't a lot offered locally. Believing that men can do great work together and heal, Mike has made it his mission to design and bring to life individual therapy, groups, and retreats that are tailored to the needs of men. TRANSFORMATIONS FROM MEN LIKE YOU

Chris C.

"The workshop was great. I do feel like many of the men I spoke with did, at one point or another, voice their difficulties with relationships and how they relate to others, such as spouses, significant others, family members, colleagues, etc. maybe that could be a point of focus in some what or form in the future as well."

Evan K.

"Our group container was a perfect space to decompress, gain valuable perspectives on the male experience, reach some meaningful personal insights and learn an array of emotional management/ communication skills. This space and these types of connections would benefit every man, not just those seeking therapy for acute reasons."
